Veronica Wu won the eighth season of MasterChef Canada in December 2025, emerging from a field of 15 home cooks. An early challenge shook her confidence, but her signature braised pork belly with potato puree and pickled radish helped her advance. Fellow U of T graduate Liz Worndl also reached the final three.

Wu earned Rotman's Master of Management Analytics in 2019 and joined Unilever as a data scientist. She now manages a data engineering team there. Cooking remained a way to socialize through university and later became a creative outlet. Following her win, she is considering culinary training and restaurant placements, with a possible Chinese or Chinese fusion restaurant in mind.
