Where the work begins
Ivoire Beguinot paired international development studies at U of T Scarborough with the university's new global leadership minor. A member of its first cohort, she also directed the Global Leadership Student Association and co-chaired the campus's International Development Conference. Her education extended to a World Bank internship in Abidjan.

There, Beguinot supported implementation of Côte d'Ivoire's Climate and Development Report with ministries, local institutions and private-sector participants. Conversations with local delegates made her question how well outside frameworks fit local needs. She plans further study and hopes to lead development projects, with a particular interest in West Africa and the experience of its communities.
