Sophia Saville scored at 86:08 to give the Mustangs a 1-1 draw with Windsor on Friday night, after Western had trailed 1-0. Miranda Preece set up the goal. Western outshot Windsor 9 to 7, and both teams put five shots on goal.

Goalkeeper Astrid Hancocks made four saves, three of them before halftime, when the game was scoreless. Emily Foster and Preece forced early saves from Windsor in the first four minutes.

Associate Head Coach Onkar Dhillion said he was happy with the performance, that the team defended well and followed its game plan, and that the work in practice is starting to translate more each week in a difficult conference. Western also earned three corner kicks before halftime but could not score before the break.
