Olympic marketing chief Jacqueline Ryan wins the Arts & Humanities Alumni Award
Ryan, an English and Film Studies graduate, leads brand and commercial work at the Canadian Olympic Committee and runs the Canadian Olympic Foundation.
Jacqueline Ryan has been named the 2026 recipient of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Alumni Award of Excellence. A graduate of Western’s English and Film Studies program, she is Chief Brand and Commercial Officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee and chief executive of the Canadian Olympic Foundation.
In those roles she leads national partnerships, digital engagement, brand strategy and fundraising for Team Canada athletes. Earlier she held senior roles at Scotiabank and RBC, including work on the Scotiabank Arena naming rights partnership and RBC’s activation of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Canadian Marketing Association named her its 2024 Marketer of the Year. The faculty said the award would be presented at Western’s Homecoming in September 2026; the source page does not report how that ceremony went.
