Imprint’s preview of the Warriors’ 2026-27 football season began with a rematch of last year’s opener against uOttawa’s Gee-Gees, who won 27-12. The Warriors are coming off a 2-6 season. They return OUA all-star linebacker Michael Omoseni, have a healthy starting quarterback in Nick Orr, and have kicker Evan Astolfo, an all-rookie pick who kicked the longest field goal in OUA history in his second game last year.

Head coach Chris Bertoia said the team has worked hard for eight and a half months and called its culture special. The roster has 107 players, and seven of last year’s opponents are on the schedule, among them Carleton, Queen’s, Windsor, Guelph, McMaster and York.

The Battle of Waterloo returns to Warrior Field in Week 6. This is a late-August preview, so it does not cover results since then.
