Four artists and a weave

Over and Over Again, at the Jackman Humanities Institute, brings together four artists who use abstract weaving to carry stories across distance and time. It opened September 16 and stays up until June 17, 2027, open to the public on weekdays.

Over and Over Again features the art of Carol-Ann Apilado, Kuh Del Rosario, Sukaina Kubba and Esmelyn Miranda Orozco. Their works use abstract interpretations of weaving to tell stories and transmit ideas, reckoning with futures that honour tradition while exploring new understandings.

The exhibition runs from September 16, 2026 to June 17, 2027 at the Jackman Humanities Institute, 170 St. George Street, 10th floor. It is presented by the Art Museum in conjunction with the Institute’s 2026-27 theme, Doubles, Doppelgangers.

It is open to the public Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. Visitors are asked to call the Institute ahead to confirm that all works are accessible, because the space is also a working one.

Until the next issue

The class keeps arriving.

One hundred and thirteen stories end this issue, but the university doesn't pause between them. A new orientation week is already being planned; a lab somewhere on campus is already running the next experiment. Alumni Digest will be there in October for the next one.
