Researchers are using AI to explore metal alloys that can perform under extreme conditions. The model narrows a large design space, helping the team focus its experiments where the material might actually hold together.

The important shift is not that software replaces a materials scientist. It is that computation makes more questions testable, leaving the human team to decide which result deserves a furnace, a microscope and another round of work.
